The Reply

Install The Reply on your computer

The Reply installs straight from this page as a real desktop application — its own icon in your dock, taskbar or Start menu, a clean window with no browser tabs, and your notes, highlights and reading history always in sync. Nothing to unzip, and every study layer stays up to date automatically.

Bible Books

Your browser handles installing itself, so there is no separate file to download. If the button above is greyed out, follow the one-click steps for your system below.

Windows & Chromebook

Clicking above installs The Reply straight away in Chrome or Edge. If your browser can't install directly, a The Reply launcher file downloads — double-click it, then drag it to your Start menu or taskbar.

macOS

In Chrome or Edge this installs the app instantly. In Safari, a The Reply launcher downloads — drag it to your Dock, or choose File → Add to Dock for a full app window.

Linux

Chrome, Chromium, Brave or Edge install the app directly. Otherwise a the-reply.desktop launcher downloads — mark it executable and drop it in ~/.local/share/applications.

Android phone & tablet

In Chrome this installs The Reply to your home screen straight away. If your browser can't install directly, follow the steps shown after you tap the button.

iPhone & iPad

Apple installs web apps through Safari: tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. The Reply then opens full-screen with its own icon, just like an App Store app.

Standalone installer (no browser needed)

Prefer a real program you install like any other application? These builds run The Reply in its own native window — no Chrome, Edge or Safari involved. Download, unzip and open.

Windows may show a “Windows protected your PC” notice and macOS may ask you to right-click and choose Open the first time — these builds are not yet code-signed. On Linux, extract the archive and run the-reply.

Always up to date

However you install it, The Reply updates itself. Every new study layer, map, translation and fix appears the next time you open the app — there is nothing to re-download and no version to keep track of.

The desktop app is the full study desk — reading, the study layers, atlas, kids space, notes and highlights. An internet connection is needed so the evidence and original language work stays current.
